The PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Course is students between the ages of 12 to 14 years old who have completed the PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course.

This PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Course focuses on expanding your diving experiences and building the knowledge from your PADI Open Water Diver course. We will take you on five Adventure Dives (two core & three elective dives).

The PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Course generally takes 2 or 3 days.

Book Online and we can register you if you request, for the online version of the PADI Adventure In Diving Lite manual to download and study before arriving.


  • Must be a PADI Junior Open Water Diver or the equivalent from another dive organisation.
  • Must be between 12 to 14 years old.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Must be in good health (Divers with a history of medical illness must obtain a certificate from a doctor allowing them to dive.)


  • Day 1: 8 AM – 12 PM: Knowledge Reviews with 2 shore dives or 2 boat dives.
  • Day 2: 8 AM – 3 PM: Boat Day Trip 2 dives.
The remaining dive(s) can be done at night (shore) or next day on the boat (2 dives).

*Students should wait at least 18 hours after their last dive before flying.

Medical Statement

Guests may check the Medical Statement here in advance. A doctors certificate is only required when:

* The candidate can answer ‘YES’ to any item on the statement

The course is split into 2 parts:

  1. Students complete the knowledge review with the aid of the Adventures in Diving manual.
  2. Students perform the skills for each of the 5 Adventure dives.

Course Schedule

  • Day 1: 8 AM – 12 PM: Knowledge Reviews with 2 shore dives or 2 boat dives.
  • Day 2: 8 AM – 3 PM: Boat Day Trip 2 dives.

Theory classes are conducted in our air-conditioned classroom or beach side restaurant.

Unlike the open water course there are no long video sessions

Pick up service is not included. Guests need to make their own way to our dive center for the trip meeting point.

(Part 1): Theory

Students are required to answer the questions in each knowledge review with the use of the Adventures in Diving Manual. The manual is available online if students wish to study in advance of arriving.

(Part 2): Open Water Dives

There are 5 Adventure dives in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. The course will take 2-3 days depending upon which dives are selected.

Compulsory Dives
There are two dives which are compulsory:
Deep Adventure Dive (max depth 21 meters – 70 feet)
Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive.
